KL Rahul will be the captain in the ODI series against South Africa, Rajat Patidar will get a chance

It is almost certain that KL Rahul will captain the ODI series against South Africa. Furthermore, according to media reports, young batsman Rajat Patidar and wicketkeeper-batsman Sanju Samson, who was away from the team for a long time, have also been given a chance in the team. Rajat Patidar, who plays for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL, has not made his international debut yet.

According to RevSportz report, Rajat Patidar has been included in the Indian squad for the ODI series against South Africa. Furthermore, the report further stated that this time Sanju Samson has also been included in the Indian team. Sanju was previously part of India in the T20 series played against Ireland in August 2023. After that he was no longer able to fight for a place in the team.

These days, Team India is busy with the five-match T20 series against Australia. However, facing Australia is a young Indian team captained by Suryakumar Yadav. After the home series against Australia, Team India will tour South Africa for a series in all three formats.

The tour against Africa begins on Sunday, December 10th. First, a three-match T20 series will be played. After that, the three-match ODI series begins on Sunday, December 17. Then both teams enter the field for red-ball cricket. The two-match Test series between the two begins on Tuesday, December 26. The tour ends on Sunday January 7th, the final day of the second test.

It is noteworthy that the Indian team led by captain Rohit Sharma recently lost the last game of 2023 against Australia. After the defeat in the final, Team India’s next task was a five-match T20 series against Australia, where the Men in Blue will field young players.
