Legendary Indian actress Sharmila Tagore will come to Dhaka. He will be on “22nd. Dhaka International Film Festival” to be organized early next year. The festival organizing committee confirmed his arrival yesterday.
It is known that the largest film festival in this country will begin on January 20th.
Joining Sharmila in the Asian competition section will be Russian producer Anna Salasina, Chinese film expert and producer Shi Chuan, Bangladeshi director Samia Zaman and Thai director and producer Tom Waller. They will choose the best ones by watching the participating films from different Asian countries.
Ahmed Mostafa Jamal, the director of the Rainbow Film Society, the organizer of the festival, said that about 250 films from 70 countries are taking part in their festival this year. The films will be exhibited at Shilpakala Academy, National Museum Auditorium and Alliance Française.
In recent days it has been announced that the famous Iranian producer Majid Majidi will take part in this festival.
