Celta’s radical turn with Gabri Veiga: new anti-sheikh clause

Apparently Carlos Mouriño has changed his mind and would no longer want to sell the sensational up-and-coming midfielder. That has become clear with the contractual extension that they have executed on the player.

The decision that was made until a few days ago with Gabri Veiga, was that he was going to leave RC Celta if someone paid the 40 million euros. That was the price of his previous clause and his president Carlos Mouriño would sign his departure since it was an interesting figure. However, in the last hours things have changed.

After several meetings between the sports management, the presidency and of course the Celta coaching staff, they have decided that Gabri Veiga is not leaving. Apparently the new coach (Rafael Benitez) had a lot to do with the change of mind of the main director of the Galician painting. The conclusion is that the 21-year-old midfielder is not leaving, or at least that’s what they want.

Gabri Veiga Celtic
The president of RC Celta has changed his mind, and by raising Gabri Veiga’s clause, he shows that he wants to keep the boy.

Gabri Veiga will have a new salary and a higher clause to continue at RC Celta

Due to his youth squad status, the man from Porriño had a fairly low salary for what he now represents in the Celtic squad. Mouriño is aware of that and that is why he has decided that he will be the second highest paid player on the team, if he decides to sign the new renewal. Thus, he will receive more money than Iago Aspas himself, Hugo Mallo, Franco Cervi, etc.

As for his termination clause, it will no longer be 40 million euros, but 80, a sum that the Celtic president wanted to raise much more. Even so, it is still an affordable price for any big team in the Premier League. The difference is that it will be more money for the Galician team. Of course, everything is in the hands of Gabri Veiga himself and his agent.

PSG thinks about whether to invest the 80 million in Gabri Veiga and get him out of RC Celta

Right now PSG is the team that is most interested in getting the talented midfielder out of the Celtic discipline. Apparently, Real Madrid no longer has an interest in adding the former Celtic player, after having bought the services of Jude Bellingham. So the only active club after the boy’s pass is the Parisian team.

In the French team they also changed their coaching staff, and Luis Enrique is now in charge of the project that wants to win a Champions League. That is why he is gathering all the young and most striking talent of LaLiga EA Sports. So Gabri Veiga is considered one of the best in his position, and the French team takes him into account.
