Desecration of Quran: Summoning of the Swedish ambassador in Saudi Arabia: Demanding action against the cursed person

Riyadh: Saudi Arabia summoned the Swedish ambassador and strongly condemned the incident, calling the heinous act of desecration of the Holy Quran a serious crime and demanded action against the cursed person.

According to the details, the Swedish ambassador in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, was summoned by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and registered a protest on the Swedish incident.

Saudi Arabia called the desecration of the Holy Quran by an extremist fanatic in Stockholm a serious crime and demanded action against the cursed person.

In a statement issued by the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it has been said that the heinous act of burning the Holy Quran is unacceptable and despicable.

On the other hand, in the statement issued after the extraordinary meeting of the OIC in Jeddah, Secretary General Hussain Ibrahim Taha called the desecration of the Holy Quran a heinous crime and said that the Muslim Ummah suffered.

The Secretary General emphasized the need for the member countries to adopt a common plan of action against Islamophobia and to take collective measures to prevent such incidents in the future, saying that religious hatred should be stopped through international laws.

The OIC General Secretary clarified that the desecration of the copies of the Holy Quran and insulting the honor of our beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ are not mere incidents of Islamophobia, states, race, gender and language are bound by the UN Charter.
