Investments in tourism construction projects amount to US$10,799 million

The investments in tourist constructions in the Dominican Republic amount to US$10,799 million and the real estate line leads the list of those projects.

The information was supplied by the Vice Minister of Tourism, Jacqueline Morawho was in charge of a magisterial conference on the growth of real estate tourism in the country during the second CENI Forum Expowhich took place in Santiago.

In total, up to now there are 187 investment projects approved by the Tourism Promotion Council (Confotur), according to the official.

The first line that dominates these investments is the real estate with US$4,527 million; and is followed, secondly, by hotelier with US$4,444 million and, thirdly, infrastructure with US$756 million. There are other investment projects that were not specified for an amount of 1,072 million dollars.

Foreign investment

The Vice Minister of Tourism stated that the cumulative foreign direct investment in the tourism and real estate sectors was of a 37% of the total of accumulated foreign investment in 2022, equivalent to US$13,144 million.

Likewise, when analyzing these and other indicators, he stressed that it is necessary to continue betting on the tourism and construction sectors, which, together with other priority lines of the economy, he assures, will continue to develop and represent the future of the country.

Construction has been one of the main protagonists in recent yearsthere is no tourism without infrastructure and the Ciudad Corazón has been a pioneer in real estate tourism,” he said.

Jacqueline Mora took advantage of the magisterial event to highlight the work that has been carried out during the three years of the current government, under the guidelines of the Minister of Tourism, David Collado.

During the second CENI Forum Expo, organized by El Inmobiliario and Win-Win, leaders and experts from the construction, real estate and tourism sectors participated, highlighting the great potential of these thriving sectors of the economy in the North.

In the event, called: “Zona Norte Late Corazón Dominicano”, the third edition of El Inmobiliario was put into circulation, which already has 7,000 copies.
