A few days ago we announced the list of Xiaomi smartphones that will most likely receive the next version of the brand’s interface, MIUI 15. This version will be based on Google’s Android 14 operating system, an iteration revealed during the Google I. / On 2023.
Now we are facing the reverse of the coin as the Chinese manufacturer has just updated the list of smartphones that have ended their official support period. That is, smartphones that reach the end of their useful life and, therefore, will stop receiving official MIUI updates.

It should be noted, first of all, that this is official information, taking into account that the brand has updated its official list with data and references for each mobile model. TO list it can be consulted by any interested party and it will be difficult for it to accept appeals or setbacks.
In any case, we already have a total of 10 new models of Redmi and POCO smartphones, entities under the Xiaomi umbrella. Their inclusion in the EOS (End of Support) list means that these phones will no longer receive updates to MIUI or the Android operating system.

As we can see, we have four models available in Europe (and in the global market) that are reaching their last days. The equipment in question has been on the market for more than two years, so it is not surprising that it is included in the brand’s EoS list.
In any case, some of these models were true sales successes, such as the Redmi Note 9 and even the POCO F2 Pro. For these terminals, there is now the path of custom ROMs or Custom ROMs that continue to develop new features.
Finally, and in any case, these models may receive security updates if Xiaomi deems it necessary. In any case, if you have one of these brand smartphones, it’s time to think about its replacement.
