Cardano CEO: Stop looking for the ‘ultimate blockchain’

Speaking at the World Tokenization Summit in Dubai, a global crypto conference that brings together industry leaders, experts and enthusiasts, a top executive of the Cardano Foundation, the organization overseeing the development of Cardano, shed light on a much-publicized discussion within the crypto world.

Ultimate blockchain does not exist

Today’s crypto landscape has a large number of different blockchains, each of which has its own ecosystem. Each blockchain also has its own community which comes together to compete against other blockchains. In that respect, the industry is anything but reunited and currently consists of many different camps.

McCann, the vice president of engineering at the Cardano Foundation, shared in conversation with Cointelegraph the need to stop arguing about which blockchain is best.

In his opinion, blockchain technology offers many potential benefits due to its transparent nature. He therefore indicated that companies can use the blockchain for many different purposes.

For this reason, according to him, there is no such thing as the ”ultimate blockchain”. Ultimately, the favorite depends on the company that uses the technology, so there is no general number one, according to him. In general, this is what investors are looking for.

Blockchain adoption

The director explained that one of the things that interests him is identifying areas that can help companies “magnify” what they already do. He said the following:

“We are not out to change people’s business models. What we want to do is how can they improve their business models by leveraging the capabilities of Web3?”

The director also explained how education plays a role in this onboard of companies in Cardano and Web3:

“We spend a lot of time on education, such as direct education with companies, not just the massive education platform we are building.”
