The Dutchman led from stoplight to flag a race without complications for his Red Bull, which continues to squeeze an unquestionable superiority. The Mercedes surprised, with a double from Hamilton and Russell on the podium in Montmeló that Pérez brushed against, after coming back from eleventh place. The Mexican finished just ahead of a Carlos Sainz who was unable to defend his second position on the grid in any way, on a Sunday where Aston Martin suffered like never before so far this season. Alonso finished seventh.
