Pakistan Cricket: Kamran Akmal lashed out at Babar Azam, said: He doesn’t know captaincy even after four years

The Pakistani team recently played a 5-game home T20I series against New Zealand, which ended in a 2-2 draw with one game remaining. Pakistan had to face a crushing 6 wicket defeat in the fifth match. Pakistan, led by Babar Azam, won the first two matches. However, after losing the last game of the series in Rawalpindi, many questions were raised about Babar Azam’s captaincy by former Pakistan player Kamran Akmal. He said that even after four years he doesn’t know how to captain.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Kamran Akmal said: “When it comes to their mistakes, they criticize us and accuse us. Our focus is not on his performance but on his captaincy. We are not blind to his peculiarities. After four years, he (Babar Azam) doesn’t know how to captain. He doesn’t even know which bowler to give the ball to at what time. If he repeats the mistake over and over again, it won’t be surprising that he loses. Don’t control your mistakes, that’s why they won.

Kamran Akmal was not at all happy with Babar Azam’s decisions as captain on the pitch. Taking his point further, he said: “If both right-handed batsmen were present at the crease, then the ball should have been handed to Iftikhar Ahmed. But instead we saw Shadab Khan bowling and he was beaten by the New Zealand batsmen.”

Significantly, New Zealand batsman Mark Chapman played a big part in winning the last game against New Zealand. Chasing runs, Chapman scored an unbeaten century while batting at number five. He scored 104 unbeaten runs on 57 balls aided by 11 fours and 4 sixes.
