The star of the San Diego Padres, Fernando Tatis Jr. is closer to returning to all big show action. Yesterday, Tatis Jr. connected his first home run of the season in the victory of his team El Paso Chihuahuas (AAA branch of the San Diego Padres) against the Sacramento River Cats 8-5. While in his first appearance in Triple-A, on April 4, Tatis Jr. hit an undisputed in two turns, drove in a lap, scored another and received two tickets in the victory of his team El Paso Chihuahuas against Sacramento River Cats 10-8. This Thursday, once again, these two teams will face each other at 9:45 p.m., where Tatis Jr. is expected to be the leadoff hitter and in right field. He is currently hitting .500 with a home run, two RBIs and two runs scored in 5 at-bats. He has also received two tickets. Tatis Jr.’s last appearance in major league baseball was on Oct. 3, 2021 against the San Francisco Giants, in an 11-4 loss, and the Dominican went 0-for-3. This is his first Triple-A experience in his seven-year career, as he went from AA to the Major Leagues
