The past 14 days have been the most special special weeks since the start of the credit crisis in 2008. Banks collapsed in droves, and an end to this crisis does not seem to be in sight for the time being. At the moment, even an even bigger bank than Credit Suisse, and one of the largest banks in the world, seems to be in trouble.
There seems to be a domino effect and so far it is not clear where this will eventually stop. While this banking crisis muddles on and we’ll get to the bottom of it today, this will of course make you think. Is your savings in the Netherlands still safe? What about our guarantee system and the statements made by politicians about the safety of funds, how hard are they?
