Always On Display and 120Hz won’t reach normal iPhone 15

A new rumor suggests that Apple will continue to reserve features like Always On Display for the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max.

Reports suggest that upcoming iPhone 15 models will feature Apple’s Dynamic Island, which is currently only available on the iPhone 14 Pro. Those same reports, however, also say that Apple is unlikely to bring the 120-inch screen. Hz from Pro models to iPhone standard.

That would mean thatand the regular iPhone 15 couldn’t count on ProMotion, which speeds up screen refresh when faster speed is required and also slows down to save power.

This also implies that Always On Display will not come to regular iPhonesbecause without being able to reduce the refresh rate, the power consumption will be very large.

The leaker “yeux1122” — who in August 2021 claimed to have the first details of the iPhone 14 — now affirms that Apple is preparing for mass production of the new iPhone 15.

Apple has already prepared to deliver the iPhone 15 series panel to domestic companies, and it is said that it will confirm the details soon and prepare for mass production.

What is confirmed here is that the specification supports LTPO 120 refresh rate only for the Pro series and the base plus model has no such requirements.

While leaker “yeux1122” doesn’t have a particularly notable track record, the information certainly supports previous expectations.
