‘T-Series’ music company owner and film producer Bhushan Kumar (Bhushan Khumar) has given his opinion on the issue of rising actor fees. Amid the current turmoil in the Hindi film industry, actors are now asking for more money for movies. Although the movies are continuously destroyed at the box office, so the producers have to bear the loss.
Recently, filmmaker Karan Johar said that young actors demand a fee of Rs 30-35 crore without proving themselves at the box office. Now producer Bhushan Kumar has also spoken out on this issue. In an interview given to Pinkvilla, Bhushan Kumar said that some actors are adamant about their fees.
Bhushan Kumar said, “Most of the actors understand the market and accept money accordingly, while there are some who are adamant about their fees. He added that producers no longer want to work with them because many people have suffered heavy losses.” in low-budget movies and this is not fair to the creators, especially when the actor has earned a lot.”
He further said: ‘There are still some actors who refuse to lower their fees. They say, we’ll just take this or we won’t… so we’re not working with them. We tell you… Don’t let us work with you either. Why would we do it for loss? You take Rs 2025 crore and we will cover the loss of the film…’
The producer also said that, in movie-making, the emphasis now is on making a profit on both sides. When some artists are found outside the budget of the project, then we talk to them so that they can be managed. Recently Bhushan Kumar brought Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 with upcoming superstar Karthik Aryan. The movie was a blockbuster and its part 3 is also coming soon.
