CNSS increases pensions for Disability and Survival

The National Social Security Council (CNSS) through resolution 560-07 increased pensions for Permanent Disability and Survival of the Occupational Risk Insurance (SRL).

The resolution was approved yesterday during a regular session of the Council, which instructs the Dominican Institute for Occupational Risk Prevention and Protection (IDOPPRIL), to proceed to update and improve said pensions taking at least RD$8,000.00. 

This measure has a positive impact on the quality of life of pensioners, to the extent that their ability to purchase goods and services will increase. The amount of the total and partial disability pension will be reviewed and updated every three years while the survival pension for five years.

The Permanent Commission of Occupational Risks of the CNSS proposed the increase after evaluating all the recommendations of the Superintendence of Health and Occupational Risks (SISALRIL), actuarial study, technical and legal aspects.

The resolution establishes that the amount of a Permanent Disability Pension covered by the Occupational Risk Insurance, aims to improve social protection against the risk of loss of earnings of workers affiliated with the Dominican Social Security System (SDSS).

The Permanent Commission of Occupational Risks of the CNSS is made up of representatives of the government sector, employer sector, labor sector; sector of the Disabled, Indigent and Unemployed and the Dominican Medical Association.
