Authorized Economic Operator holds its V Conference 2022

with the theme “The OAS Program: a Pillar for the Facilitation of Safe Trade”, the conference of the Authorized Economic Operator was the setting for the General Directorate of Customs expose to the business, national and international sector the achievements and advances of customs management in terms of trade facilitation, security and collections.

Approximately 21 companies participated in the colloquium in different links. With these new companies there are now 549 with AEO certifications.

At the conference, the panelist Erik Soulrepresentative of Haina International Terminals, (port operator), assured that “without security, there is nothing”, when dealing with the topic “The OEA as a pillar of the Dispatch in 24 hourswith which companies save time and money and make all countries more competitive.

They reach SMEs
Speaking the opening words, the General Director of Customs, Eduardo Sanz Lovatónexplained that the 81% growth in AEO certificationsfor the first time reaches SMEs, through the Simplified OEA, which can use the Dispatch in 24 Hours, launched in June 2021.

“The customs are a reflection of the country and a benchmark of its economy. From the Government headed by our president, Luis Abinader, we are creating conditions to continue developing them”.
