The Chamber of Commerce and Production of Santo Domingo (CCPSD) delivered in its first edition the special recognition “José Manuel Armenteros Rius Award, to the Dominican businessman José Gabriel Roig Laporta, as part of the Hub Cámara 2022 trade show.
The recognition was given for his more than 50 years in favor of the economic development of the country, and for his hard dedication as a member of the Chamber of Commerce and Production of Santo Domingo and vice president of the Board of Directors of the Center for Dispute Resolution (CRC), body attached to this entity.

Manuel Luna Sued, president of the CCPSD stressed that with the institutionalization of the award “José Manuel Armenteros Award”, The entity seeks to recognize the contributions of men and women who with passion and responsibility contribute from their different sectors to the sustained development of the country.
“This distinction also seeks to capture the legacy of Mr. Armenteros Rius, a man who has contributed so much to the strengthening of free enterprise and the development of the Dominican business sector,” said Luna Sued.
