The European country of Albania cut diplomatic relations with Iran and ordered the diplomatic staff to leave the country within 24 hours.
The prime minister has announced that Albania has severed diplomatic relations with Iran and has ordered embassy staff to leave the country as soon as possible.
The decision was reportedly made in response to a cyber attack by Tehran on Albanian government websites. On July 15, a cyber attack temporarily shut down several Albanian government digital services and websites.
These orders have been given in writing to the Iranian Embassy in the capital by the Prime Minister. All embassy staff, including diplomatic and security personnel, have been ordered to leave Albania within 24 hours.
