Mariners rookie Julio Rodriguez, who is out of action with a right wrist injury, is scheduled to start swinging this weekend.
The Seattle ninth is hopeful the outfielder can rejoin the lineup on Wednesday, when his 10-day stint on the disabled list ends.
It’s also possible that the Mariners won’t activate it until August 12, as they are free on the 11th.
The 21-year-old Rodriguez is crafting a dream rookie season as he is hitting .271 with 18 home runs and 57 RBIs in 96 games and was named to the All-Star Game.
