Many talents emerged in the 15th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Some new players on each team performed brilliantly. Either Ayush Badoni from Lucknow Super Giants or Umran Malik from Sunrisers Hyderabad camp. Looking at the performance of these players in the IPL, it can be guessed that the future of Indian cricket is in safe hands.
One of those talents is now playing in the semi-finals of the ongoing Ranji Trophy. His trainer has widely boasted about his ability. Former Indian cricketer and Bengal manager Arun Lal said the form of Akash Deep, who plays for the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) franchise, has yet to be determined, stating that he used to play cricket balls.
The trainer said that Akash Deep has not yet been traced by the IPL. There is no bigger hitter than him. He has scored half a century with eight sixes, he himself does not yet know the strength of it. As a bowler, he needs to introduce some variations. He said that if you let him stay, he’ll do his best.
Akash Deep, 25, had hit eight sixes in Ranji’s quarter-final match against Jharkhand. Deep later scored 53 runs on 18 balls. Bengal found themselves at 197/5 on stumps on day two in the ongoing semi-final against Madhya Pradesh and are currently trailing by 144 runs. Deep has yet to bat but bowled twice in 26 overs during Madhya Pradesh’s early innings.
