Jeimer Candelario hits a home run in the loss of the Tigers against the Rays

Kevin Kiermaier, Kevin Phillips and Randy Arozarena each homered and drove in two runs as the Tampa Bay Rays beat the Detroit Tigers 8-1 on Tuesday night.

Shane McClanahan struck out seven in as many innings, while Ji-Man Choi drove in a pair of runs for the Rays, who snapped Detroit’s four-game winning streak in front of 8,475 fans.

Jeimer Candelario homered off McClanahan in the fifth for the Tigers, his third home run of the season.

Kiermaier had three hits, including a walk-off home run off starter Beau Brieske. It was his fourth four-corner stick of the campaign.

McClanahan (3-2) cruised through three perfect innings on 27 pitches. He ended up allowing one run and four hits.

Brieske (0-3) allowed six runs and nine hits in 5 1/3 innings, striking out four in his fifth major league start.

For the Tigres, Puerto Ricans Willi Castro 4-0, Javier Báez 4-1. The Venezuelan Miguel Cabrera 4-0. The Dominican Jeimer Candelario 4-1 with one scored and one produced.

For the Rays, Cubans Yandy Díaz 4-2 with a run scored, Arozarena 3-1 with two runs scored and two RBIs. The Mexican Isaac Paredes 1-0. The Dominicans Wander Franco 4-0 with a run scored, Vidal Bruján 3-0. Colombian Harold Ramírez 4-2 with a run scored.
