Words from the director of the SGS, Karina Pablo:"Welcome everyone to our SGS Cup: students, parents, coaches, teachers, staff and members of the Parents Association present. “We are very happy to welcome you today to once again celebrate this event whose main objective is to promote the practice of sport among our children and young people, and thus collaborate with their physical and comprehensive development. It is also an exciting experience for them to share their passion for sport with classmates from other schools; events like these will probably be part of your best memories of your school days” he expressed.
He also said “We want to thank all the participating schools, their leaders, coaches, students and parents for having accepted our invitation. We are aware of the many activities that have resumed after the mandatory cessation due to the pandemic. To the athletes… give your best while always respecting the rules of the game and sportsmanship; and above all have fun".
We thank Professor Diego Gutiérrez, in charge of our Physical Education Department, as well as his team of coaches, for holding this event, as well as our sponsors for their support: Propagas, Gestur, Bepensa, Arbaje Soni, Checklist, KFC, Font Gamundi, The Kids Gymnastics Academy.
For his part, Diego Gutiérrez, Head of the Department of Physical Education, expressed: Good afternoon, directors of the SGS, parents, teaching and administrative staff; and especially to each of the athletes and coaches who from today will be accompanying us in our Cup.
“It is a great pleasure for me to welcome you to the most important sporting event of our school and which we have missed for the last two years. Starting this afternoon, our facilities open their doors to share enthusiasm, joy, an atmosphere of healthy competition and the immense love we feel for each of the sports disciplines that will be present,” said Gutiérrez.
Today begins a sports party where each of the teams, in addition to leaving the best of themselves on the field of play, will also leave marks framed in values such as respect, camaraderie, solidarity, equality and justice.
Finally, he exhorted the students: “Dear athletes, you have the honor of representing your schools and demonstrating not only your sports skills, but also your human quality. Remember that this cup is by and for you, so enjoy, celebrate and live the sport. I have no choice but to reiterate the welcome and thank you for being part of our family for the next few weeks.
