At the beginning of the Holy Week holiday, the children and adolescents of the La Zurza Police Project recognized the athlete Anayma Acta for the contributions made to the vulnerable sector of the capital.
Anayma works for a law firm that represents Major League Baseball players and is the manager of her brother Manny Acta’s ImpactaKids foundation, based in the Consuelo mill.
“She not only brings sports equipment but also gives talks to children and adolescents from the folkloric ballet of the Nuestro Esfuerzo club here in La Zurza,” said Colonel Jacobo Mateo Moquete, commander of the Sports Department of the National Police.
“On behalf of our CEO, Eduardo Alberto Then, thank you very much for your great support,” added the officer.
The recognition was carried out prior to one of the games of the intramural tournament celebrated by the six baseball leagues sponsored by the institution of order in the play that it builds with public and private support.
The president of the union of leagues and clubs of La Zurza, Rolando Franco, said that Anayma Acta has been a kind of key that allows him to open doors for the benefit of the children and adolescents of the Club Nuestro Esfuerzo and the more than two hundred members of the leagues that practice in the Sports Police Project.
“Anayma is our godmother,” Mr. Franco said.
