Abu Dhabi: The United Arab Emirates has issued a new form for the issuance and renewal of residency and identity card.
According to the details, the UAE has introduced the same form for issuance and renewal of residence and identity card, now there will be a single form for both these works.
It is to be noted that earlier the issuance and renewal of residence and identity card forms used to be separate, now both the works have been submitted in one form, this decision will be implemented from Monday 11th April.
In the UAE, the Federal Agency for Identity Cards, Nationality, Customs and Border Security has abolished the issuance of residency stickers for foreigners residing in the UAE and introduced residency ID cards in its place.
Director General of Iqama Major General Saeed Al-Rashidi said that the decision to cancel the issuance of Iqama sticker and issue UAE Emirati National Identity Card in its place has been taken under a package of various facilities.
According to the federal agency, the decision to cancel the sticker was taken by the cabinet.
The new edition of the UAE Identity Card for resident foreigners will have all the information with the residence sticker.
