Lulu Hypermarket has opened its branch in Bahrain where all the staff are women.
According to foreign media, the store has been opened in Hamad Town area of Bahrain with all its staff consisting of women and it is the first hyper store of its kind by Lulu Hypermarket.
Housing project in Hamad Town, located on an area of 2,000 square meters by the lake, the store will provide people with fresh vegetables, meat and other grocery items besides indoor bakery.
Speaking to local media, Rebecca, the store’s import coordinator and merchandiser, said she was excited to be part of the women’s team. Expressing similar views, another sales staff member, Zina Ali Yousaf, said that there are women in the entire rankings, from the sales staff to the supervisors and managers and I am really proud to be a part of this team.
The staff of the store also expressed happiness over this unique store of its kind and said that such a system was previously implemented only in Saudi Arabia. There was a concept here and I am sure that it will help us in the service of women.
It should be noted that Lulu Group owns 9 hypermarkets and 2 shopping centers in Bahrain with a staff of about 3,000 and more than 40% of them are Bahraini citizens.
