iPhone 14 versus iPhone 14 Pro: the three big differences

It is one of the most anticipated releases of Apple and this year, like the previous ones, the next generation of iPhone should be officially presented in September.

But it seems that in this 14th generation of iPhone, Apple wants to significantly distinguish the advanced models from the non-advanced ones and, at the moment, three main differences are known. Do you want to know what they are? We tell you everything right away.

1. Design: iPhone 14 and 14 Pro will have a different “look”

This year in September Apple is expected to fulfill the tradition of officially presenting its new generation of iPhone. This series is expected to arrive with four new models: iPhone 14, 14 Max, 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max.

But it seems that in this generation Apple will significantly differentiate the Pro models from the non-Pro models. And it starts immediately with the design. According to the latest rumors circulating in the web world, the iPhone 14 should keep the design of its predecessor, while the iPhone 14 will be shown with a renewed design.

If the projections of the 91Mobiles website are confirmed, the terminal will replace the screen notch with two small holes that will house the integrated camera and sensors. More: the model may also include Face ID functionality integrated into the screen.

As for the rear panel, the iPhone 14 Pro will be able to inherit the design of its predecessor and have a square module, where the cameras and LED flash will be housed, as well as a microphone and a LiDAR sensor.

2. Processor: A16 Bionic will only be integrated into the Pro models of the next generation of iPhones

Apparently, Apple even intends to distinguish the Pro models from the non-Pro models of the next generation of iPhones and for this, there is nothing better than equipping them with different processors.

Apparently, the new A16 Bionic SoC processor will only be integrated into the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max models. The rest of the terminals -iPhone 14 and iPhone Max- under the chassis will already have the A15 Bionic chip, present in the current 13 generation.

But Apple goes even further. All because the non-Pro models of the iPhone 14 must come equipped with 6 GB of LPDDR4X RAM while the more advanced Pro models will have LPDDR5 memory. In practical terms, it means that the latter will provide a higher speed of operation, especially if combined with the new Apple chip.

3. Screen: various sizes and different refresh rates

Also on screen, the different models of the new generation will present significant differences. But in this case, the differences will not only be noticeable between the Pro and non-Pro models.

Let’s start with the size, both the iPhone 14 Max and iPhone 14 Max Pro models will arrive with huge 6.68-inch screens while the iPhone 14 and 14 Pro will have 6.06-inch panels.

Now, let’s get to the differences between Pro and non-Pro. The former will be equipped with an OLED LTPO display that will provide the ProMotion refresh rate, i.e. up to 120Hz. The non-Pro models will stick to one refresh rate. 60hz

And for now, these are the three big differences that we can point out between the models of the next generation of iPhones. According to the well-known analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, it is possible that Apple has decided to distinguish so many models for financial or marketing reasons, since TSMC has complied with the supply of chips.

But there is still a lot of time left for the usual September conference, until then we may have more equally unexpected revelations, after all, the Cupertino company likes to surprise its fans from time to time.
