The wait is over. Xiaomi announced this Tuesday (15), for the global market, the launch of the new tops of the Xiaomi 12 Series. We have three new Android smartphones in this product range, the Xiaomi 12 Pro, Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12X.
Specifically, the new Xiaomi 12X mobile is presented as a new high-end smartphone, an (almost) high-end with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor. The price? In Portugal it costs from €699.99 what puts you in the segment cousin.
Compact and powerful, this is the new Xiaomi 12X smartphone
The Xiaomi 12X is defined by the OLED screen of 6.28 inches diagonal, relatively compact by today’s standards. The resolution is high, with a Full-HD+ standard of 1080 x 2400 pixels, 20:9 aspect ratio and a density of 419 pixels per inch (dpi).
This screen is Dolby Vision and HDR10+ certified, as well as offering a maximum (peak) brightness of 1100 nits, which means it will be excellent even outdoors. In addition, it uses Corning’s Gorilla Glass Victus glass for greater protection on a daily basis.
Same design throughout the Xiaomi 12 range for 2022
The overall design of all three models is identical in all respects. However, we do have differences in cameras with the Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12X models featuring a 13MP ultra-wide-angle lens camera as well as a 5MP tele-macro camera. The highlight is the 50 MP main sensor with a wide-angle lens and f/1.9 focal aperture.
In short, we have a very versatile and promising triple camera, giving the user three focal lengths that they can use to create more content with ease and a high standard of quality.
Snapdragon 870 processor with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage
The “heart” of the Xiaomi 12X is the high-end processor snapdragon 870 from Qualcomm at 7nm. We also have 8 GB of RAM, as well as 256 GB of storage in the version that arrives in Portugal.
It should be noted that the three devices in the Mi 12 range come with the UFS 3.1 standard, ensuring the best charging and data transfer speeds (read/write), with LPDDR5 RAM for memory speeds of up to 6,400 Mbps.

The software aspect is completed by the MIUI 13 interface, the latest version of this Xiaomi user interface. Plus, it’s based on Android 11, with an update to Android 12 from Google guaranteed to arrive in 2022.

Xiaomi 12 series customers will receive up to three months of YouTube Premium for free. It’s a way to give users access to the best ad-free content on Google’s video platform.
