Xiaomi presented this Tuesday the expected high-end smartphones for global markets in 2022. Along with the expected Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro, the Xiaomi 12X was also presented.
With this Xiaomi 12 series, the brand wants to provide users with a state-of-the-art movie studio and a true entertainment center. All this with impressive advances in Xiaomi’s Artificial Intelligence algorithm and improved processing power.
Xiaomi 12 has a 6.28-inch AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate
In this article we have analyzed the Xiaomi 12. This model comes to compete directly with the iPhone 13 in terms of performance and size. It has a 6.28-inch AMOLED panel.
It has Full HD+ resolution and has a maximum brightness of 1100 bits. It has an adaptive refresh rate of up to 120Hz and a touch sampling rate of 480Hz. It supports HDR 10′ and Dolby Vision, and the screen has received the new Display Mate A+.
The main camera of the Xiaomi 12 is 50 MP
As far as photography is concerned, it has a 50MP wide-angle lens. It supports 8K or 4K HDR 10+ recording and has ultra night video mode, one-click AI cinema and Xiaomi ProFocus.
It is accompanied by a 13 MP ultra wide angle lens with a viewing angle of 123º. It also features a 5 MP telemacro camera with a 50mm equivalent aperture. It should be noted that the night mode is present in the wide angle and ultra wide angle.
The front camera is 32 MP and features HDR 10+ recording, AI portrait video, and night selfie mode. This camera is housed in a central drilled hole.
Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 is the engine of Xiaomi 12
The smartphone is powered by a 4-gauge Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, with support for 5G. It will be supported by 8 GB of RAM and 128 or 256 GB of internal storage.
The Xiaomi 12 has a 4,500mAh battery with 67W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. It can also reverse charge other devices to 10W. Supports NFC, Bluetooth 5.2, Wi-Fi 6 and Wi-Fi 6E and Dual SIM.
As for the sound, you can count on two symmetrical speakers. These have Harman Kardon sound and support for Dolby Atmos. The smartphone also comes with MIUI 13 on top of Android 12.
Prices and availability of Xiaomi 12 in Portugal
The Xiaomi 12 will be available in Portugal in two versions in grey, purple and blue. The 8GB + 128GB version will cost €849.99 and the 8GB + 256GB variant will cost €899.99.
Pre-sales start on March 21 and general sales on April 1.
