UNDP launches call for financing environmental solutions and plastic management

The United Nations Development Program (UNDP), through the Small Grants Program of the Global Environment Facility (PPS-GSP/GEF/UNDP), launched a call to fund solutions to address plastic pollution management.

The call is addressed to non-profit civil society organizations (OSC), and grassroots community organizations (OCB). The selected proposals will receive financing of up to US$40,000 dollars (RD$2.3 million pesos) for the implementation of solutions.

Funding will include baseline analysis, the formulation of policies that stimulate the reduction of single-use plastic, the implementation of waste management models and education campaigns. Proposals must include a counterpart in cash and kind equal to or greater than the amount requested.
