Rumors about the specifications of the new Lenovo Legion Y90 gaming smartphone have been circulating for some time.

But now the first images of the series that, after all, will be known worldwide as Legion Phone 3, and that will include two new models: the Legion 3 Elite and the Legion 3 Pro, have been revealed.

If all the rumors released so far about Lenovo’s next gaming model are confirmed, this is a super smartphone that will delight gamers. But today it was also revealed that the series hitherto known as Legion Y90 will be launched globally under a different name.

Ready? Lenovo chose the name Legion 3 and will make two different models available: Legion 3 Elite and Legion 3 Pro. The information comes via leaker Evan Blass, who is moving forward despite Lenovo revealing the two new smartphones soon.

The well-known leaker also clarifies that this series succeeds the Legion Duel 2 line, released last year, despite dropping the Duel name. At the same time, the first images of the terminals were revealed, showing an innovative design and very focused on the gaming “specialty” of this new series.

The design of the new series is tailor-made for the most demanding gamers.

One of the design highlights goes directly to the rear panel which has a module in the center, possibly to house the rear camera setup, with built-in RGB lights and a dual cooling system.

Apparently, the terminals will also be equipped with four ultrasonic trigger buttons and two capacitive buttons on the rear of the terminal. It also highlights the rear panel, which has a leather texture to facilitate holding the terminal during long gaming sessions. Details tailored to the most demanding gamers.

And after the design of the rear panel, it is time to turn the terminals around and look at the 6.92-inch AMOLED screen with a refresh rate of 144 Hz and a touch sampling rate of 720 Hz that occupies the entire front area. Inside Lenovo’s new Legion 3 series will be Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 gen 1 processor paired with up to 18GB of RAM and 640GB of storage. Both the Legion 3 Pro and the Eçite models will have a 2,800 mAh battery, with support for 68-watt fast charging. Plus: two USB Type-C ports ensure that the terminals are charged, even if the user is in the middle of a gaming session.

Also, in terms of optics, Lenovo’s new Legion 3 series will feature a 16-megapixel front-facing camera, while the rear configuration will feature a 64-megapixel primary sensor complemented by a 13-megapixel second sensor.
According to the information now revealed, the Lenovo Legion 3 series will be released during the first quarter of 2022.
