New Huawei Himedia Smart Box C1 has support for 4K content and applications
One of Huawei’s strategies to deal with the restrictions to which it is subject is to launch innovative products that capture the interest of users. And, once again, the Chinese brand manages to surprise by innovation with its new smart box TV.
The Huawei Himedia Smart Box C1 has the size of a smartwatch but the performance of a giant. It is equipped with a HiSilicon 4K 64-bit chip that supports 4K content playback and H.265 encoding.
Since it runs Android 9.0 Pie operating system, it also supports installing various music, video and gaming apps. In fact, to provide a better gaming experience, the smart box integrates a new interface that provides easy access to game controls.
Huawei smart box does not include ads in its system
But there is one more surprise in store for users: the Huawei Himedia Smart Box C1 does not include ads in its system. In other words, users will not be obliged to see advertising spaces during system startup, in the screensaver, and much less in a pop-up format that interrupts any of the displayed content.
As for the built-in connections, it has Bluetooth 4.2 to be connected to other devices such as keyboards, headphones, speakers, among others, dual-band 2.4G/5G Wi-Fi, Apple AirPlay/DLNA/Miracast.
For now it is only available in the Chinese market for an approximate and very appetizing cost of 55 euros.
Huawei Watch D receives a crucial update
Meanwhile, other Huawei-related news reports that the Chinese brand is starting to roll out a crucial update for its latest smartwatch. According to the manufacturer, the update brings stability and performance optimization for the Watch D.
Huawei is now rolling out the update to Chinese users, but later other regions will also have access. The update can be downloaded through the Huawei Health app by selecting the update option.
Remember that the Watch D was launched at the end of 2021 and that it has several health features, namely the ability to monitor blood pressure. The innovation of this smart watch is precisely in this functionality, since it is the only device of its kind with this integrated option.
