Although the iPhone 14 line has not yet been revealed, some analysts have already released the first predictions for its successor. This is the case of the latest report by analyst Jeff Pu that points out the main news expected for the iPhone 15 Pro.
In a document sent to investors, this analyst reveals that this equipment will come equipped with a periscope lens. It will therefore be the greatest evolution of recent years in the photographic sets of Apple smartphones.
Apple prepares to adopt 5x zoom periscope lenses
It is important to note that this is not the first time that the adoption of a periscopic lens on the iPhone 15 Pro has been mentioned. Analyst Ming-Chio Kuo also advanced with the same thesis, however, without further details.
Jeff Pu’s latest prediction states that this lens will be able to offer 5x optical zoom. Note that the iPhone 13 Pro is close to 3 times its telephoto.
Apple will already be testing some prototypes and components of this photographic solution. However, a final decision on the way forward will not be made until next May, so the details of this rapprochement are not yet closed.
If the American company decides on the use of these components, they will be applied to “the latest generation models of the iPhone 2023 line”. That is, it will be the great asset of the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max.
Until then, Apple will redouble its efforts to further improve this technology. It should be noted that periscopic lenses have been in force in Android tops for a few years now, but Apple has not yet fallen for this trend.
