Xiaomi and Lenovo are preparing to launch two new smartphones in mid-February, totally aimed at the gaming area.

And, of course, both terminals come packed with the best specifications. In a head-to-head, which of the two will emerge victorious?

Apparently, the month of February will be full of new smartphones aimed at the gaming area, and two of the new terminals that will hit the market are the Xiaomi Black Shark 5 Pro and the Lenovo Legion Y90. And since they will compete against each other to conquer more users, we put them both face to face to evaluate the specifications that each one brings to conquer the players.

Let’s start with the Xiaomi Black Shark 5, which will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor and will display a 6.8-inch screen with Quad HD+ resolution and a 144 Hz refresh rate. To improve the gaming experience, the Xiaomi gaming terminal Xiaomi will also have a touch refresh rate of 720 Hz.

It will run Android 12 under the Black Shark JOYUI interface, which is in practice the “twin sister” of MIUI, but more geared towards the gaming area, of course. It also has a beefy 5,000mAh battery with support for 120W fast charging.

And what will the Lenovo Legion Y90 look like?

As for the Lenovo Legion Y90, rumors advance that it is equipped with a 6.92-inch AMOLED screen with Full HD+ resolution, a 144 Hz refresh rate, and 720 Hz touch sampling.

It also has a massive 5,500-watt battery, but support for fast charging is limited to 68 watts. At the helm of the terminal may be the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, but previously published information also points to the Snapdragon 888 SoC. Soon we will have more exact information on this point.

The Lenovo Legion Y90 will also integrate up to 18 GB of RAM to which an additional 4 GB of virtual RAM can be added and will have a storage capacity of up to 512 GB.

A possible head-to-head winner

If all the information released so far about the two devices is confirmed, we risk saying that the Xiaomi Black Shark 5 Pro is the fair winner of the duel, especially if Lenovo has an older processor such as the Snapdragon 888 SoC at its command. which, unsurprisingly, lags behind Xiaomi’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 in gaming performance.

On the other hand, even though Lenovo is equipped with a 5,500 watt super battery, fast charging falls short of the 120 watts that Xiaomi provides with its 5,000 mAh battery.

As for the screen, the two models on paper have the same refresh and touch rates, however, the Black Shark 5 Pro’s Quad HD+ resolution is higher than Lenovo’s Full HD+.
