In recent months, the complaints of some iPhone 13 users and the quality of their calls have multiplied. In question, there was a greater difficulty in understanding what was said in those calls disturbed by background noise.
What was thought to be a bug in iOS 15 is ultimately a conscious decision by Apple. This is because the American technology has just confirmed that the iPhone 13 line does not support the noise cancellation function on calls.
Noise cancellation on calls is not part of the iPhone 13 options
The confirmation is made by the 9to5 Mac publication, citing one of its readers who reached out to speak with Apple support. It is in this context that a representative of American technology confirms the absence of this functionality.
“We have an update on this. Phone noise cancellation isn’t available on iPhone 13 models, so you don’t see that option in Settings.”
Note that this user had contacted Apple about this issue a few months ago. During that time he was waiting for a resolution for the lack of noise cancellation, but now it is clear that this will not happen.
There are many other cases of iPhone 13 users who, for months, were convinced that this absence was due to a bug in iOS 15. Apple itself even shared with the complainants the steps they had to take to enable this functionality.
After months of feeding false hopes, American technology clarifies the matter in the worst possible way. Noise cancellation has been in the iPhone since the earliest models, but for unknown reasons it’s not part of the “best iPhone ever.”
Note that noise cancellation can be found in the iPhone’s Accessibility options. As the name implies, this option removes background noise during Facetime and voice calls for a clearer voice for participants.
The result of abandoning this feature will be lower call quality for many users of the iPhone 13 generation. A sad reality that should not be reversed, at least not until a new generation is released.
