WhatsApp is the most popular instant communications platform in the world with more than two billion monthly active users. Now, the messaging app is getting ready to add new creative tools to the Android app soon.
It’s important to note that these same features will arrive later than the iOS (iPhone) app, although they may take a few more weeks. However, they are already available in the trial version (beta version) for Android devices.
The latest additions to the messaging app have made the platform more secure, as well as enriching the user experience. At the same time, there are several features still in development, while others are now in the test channel.
New creativity tools arrive in the WhatsApp application
As the portal progresses WABetaInfoWhatsApp prepares two new brushes to draw in the options available in the image editor of the app itself. This will allow, for example, to customize an image before sending it, or to better compose the Status.
It is therefore a reinforcement for the editor of multimedia files, whether they are images or video. In practice, we have new brushes with different tips that vary in thickness and design effect. Note that until now it is possible to change the color of the text to be drawn with the brush, but without being able to change, for example, the thickness of that drawing tool.
In the future, in the stable channel, and currently in beta for Android, it is possible to choose between three thickness presets for the tool in question. Something that can be seen in the three buttons indicated in the image below.
Functions already available in the beta version of WhatsApp for Android
The novelty introduced, although discreet, will be part of a new range of creative options on the way to the messaging app for Android and iOS. In fact, the aforementioned portal says that there are several new tools still in the preparation phase.
That is, this new trio of buttons to select the thickness of the drawing brush is only the first step. However, we do not know when the next design options will arrive in the beta channel of the WhatsApp app.
Meanwhile, rival Telegram continues to provide a wider range of design options for interested users. However, this platform owned by the Meta group remains the most popular solution also in Portugal.
Finally, users who are interested and enrolled in the beta program can now update their Android app and try out what’s new.
