ColorOS 12 beta update announcement posted on OnePlus official page

Other news related to OnePlus reports that the brand has already recruited users for the beta version of ColorOS 12, based on Android 12. Registration was open only for Chinese users and for a short period of time, having been closed in the meantime.

The brand clarified that selected users will receive the ColorOS 12 beta update, via OTA, in three days. On the other hand, OnePlus has also listed some of the issues that seem to persist in this update.

Depending on the brand, using unofficial chargers may result in intermittent charging, Face Unlock may experience some glitches, and the fast wireless charging icon may not appear on the OnePlus 8 Pro model screen.

In addition to the issues listed in this beta update, the company also warned that migrating from HydrogenOS to ColorOS is more complex and challenging, even for models available on the international market.

But the release of the beta update of ColorOS 12 is already a positive sign that the brand will work hard to solve all the problems. We can only hope that when the stable and final version is available, OnePlus has already fixed all the bugs and found a way to make the migration from HydrogenOS to ColorOS smoother and easier.
