the smartphone OPPO Find X5 Pro it will be officially presented during the first half of the year, most likely at the end of this quarter. At the same time, the high-end processor MediaTek Dimension 9000 will be introduced by the Taiwan-based manufacturer.
Now, a new report suggests that MediaTek and OPPO have teamed up to present this SoC (system on chip) in the next high-end phone from the Chinese brand. For now, it should be noted, this is a possibility that needs confirmation by the parties involved.
Could OPPO adopt Dimensity 9000 for its Find X5 Pro?
As reported by the leaks to date, OPPO is currently working on its next top of the range, the successor to the OPPO Find X3 Pro. However, this device should not be called Find X4 Pro due to the bad connotation of the digit “4” . in Asian culture. Therefore, we have the OPPO Find X3 Pro at the beginning of the year.
We also remember that so far features such as a 6.7-inch diagonal screen, LTPO 2.0 AMOLED technology with Quad-HD resolution of 1440 x 3216 pixels, as well as a variable refresh rate of up to 120 Hz have been indicated.

Among the highlights, based on information leaks, we also mention the triple main camera of this Android smartphone, headed by the 50 MP sensor. In fact, it is expected to be the Sony IMX766 sensor with OIS and a wide angle lens.
There’s also a 50MP secondary sensor and an ultra-wide lens, with the same color calibration as the primary sensor for better match of results. Finally, we will have the third 13 MP sensor for optical image enlargement and/or macro photography, just like in the current smartphone.
On the other hand, on the front, the OPPO phone will have a 31 MP camera to mediate the selfies, hitting the screen. According to leaks, the sensor used will be the Sony IMX709.
The processor used can be the MediaTek Dimensity 9000
The surprise may lie in the use of MediaTek’s Dimensity 9000 over Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. However, it is perfectly plausible that OPPO uses different processors in different regions, similar to what Samsung does with its Galaxy S, for example.
Note also that the new MediaTek processor, yet to be introduced, already promises great advances in processing power, as well as in energy savings. In other words, this chip could be one of the biggest surprises of the year. In fact, MediaTek is currently the market leader in terms of the volume of chips sold.
In short, we have the new OPPO Find X5 Pro arriving during the first half of 2022. It will arrive, apparently, with two processors, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and the upcoming MediaTek Dimensity 9000. It remains to be seen, however, which of these versions will make it to Europe.
