Artemis I NASA

Jezz Bezos, CEO of Amazon, known for his fascination with space, must be very satisfied. All because Alexa will be the first digital assistant in space having been chosen to be part of the next Artemis I space mission.

At this point, Amazon’s digital assistant is already being “trained” to be an active member of the team. All because Alexa will be used on NASA’s Orion spacecraft to help the crew, that is, it will be able to answer thousands of questions related to this specific mission.

In addition to having the answers “on the tip of your tongue,” Amazon’s digital assistant will also have access to real-time telemetry data and can even execute commands to control the ship’s connected devices, such as lighting.

On the other hand, Alexa will act as a kind of link between Earth and the astronauts. In other words, Amazon’s digital assistant will inform the crew about the sports results and the main news highlights of the day.

“Alexa, take me to the moon”

But users of devices with Amazon’s digital assistant will also benefit from Alexa’s trip to the moon. All because they will also have access to the ship’s telemetry data, as well as photos and videos of the mission.

Very soon, Amazon will make the new “space resources” available on all its computers. And the process to access them couldn’t be easier: just say, “Alexa, take me to the moon.”
