Details about Xiaomi’s next “big” smartphone are already known

Rumors are circulating in the web world that Xiaomi is working at a rapid pace to launch its upcoming Mix 5 and Mix 5 Pro smartphones.

And it seems that these two new smartphones may be responsible for the brand abandoning the launch of the Xiaomi 12 Ultra model.

Rumors that Xiaomi is working hard and fast on the new Mix 5 series are gaining ground. There are even sources in which the Chinese brand has given up, for now, the Xiaomi 12 Ultra model to focus all its efforts on the new Mix 5 series that will include the standard variant and the Pro model.

And, of course, the first specifications that can be integrated in this series are also beginning to circulate. Apparently, Xiaomi has already established that the Huaxing Optoelectronics company will provide the screen which, in turn, will be an OLED panel with Full HD + resolution.

But there is a surprise in store for the Mix 5 screen. Curious? Apparently, Xiaomi will integrate a camera under the screen of the new smartphone, which will have an extraordinary resolution of 20 megapixels.

New technology and patented algorithm ensure good camera performance under the Mix 5 screen

Of course, with this bold choice, Xiaomi will have to solve some logistical problems. In this sense, the technology of this camera uses a new pixel design to omit more components below the RGB pixels, as well as to increase the amount of transmitted light.

On the other hand, for this camera to capture high-quality photos, Xiaomi is also working on a patented algorithm that optimizes the operation of the sensor.

More specs expected on Xiaomi Mix 5

But this is not the only specification that has already been advanced for the new Mix 5 series. More information reveals that the smartphones will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor paired with up to 12 GB of RAM.

A 120Hz refresh rate is also expected on the display, as well as five image sensors in the rear camera setup that will also include an impressive 200x digital and 15x optical zoom.

Otherwise, the Mix 5 will run on a robust 5000 or 6000 mAh battery with support for 200 watt fast charging and 50 watt wireless charging.
