Wordle is a free game from guess english words that went viral in the last few days.
This simple game challenges people to guess a five letter word in six tries, and every day a new word is published. In three months, he reached 300,000 followers.
Its creator, Josh Wardle, stated that BBC that he never intended to go viral and that he wants to keep it simple, so he won’t add advertising.
The game is available through a web page, but does not have a mobile app. Each game takes about three minutes, although it does require some knowledge of English vocabulary.
How does the game work?
The game only offers one five-letter word per day: the same word for everyone who plays.
Players start guessing by entering any five-letter word. If any of the letters are in the word to be guessed but in the wrong place, it will turn yellow. If they are on the word in the right place, they turn green. If they’re not in the word, they’re gray
The goal is to guess the answer in less than six tries.
