A few days ago we learned that WhatsApp was working on a new “Communities” feature and now we have another new feature for iOS.
According to the guys at WABetaInfo, the popular messaging app will add your contacts’ profile picture to the notifications you receive from the app.
This functionality is already present in the beta 2.22.1.1 version of WhatsApp for iOS and, as we say, it shows the photo of the contact who sends the message along with their name / phone number each time you receive a notification.
This feature seems quite useful as it helps to quickly identify who sent you a message without having to read the name. WhatsApp isn’t the first app to implement this functionality, but others like Twitter or Telegram have been doing it for a long time.
