Until now, there were only two ways to hear the sound: through speakers or through headphones in particular. Now, thanks to the technology of Smart Beaming now there is a third way.
Noveto N1 is a truly new sound device that, with the appearance of a small soundbar, creates a beam of ultrasonic waves that emit sound straight to your ear.
When you stand in front of the N1 smart speaker, the sound reaches you right next to your left and right ears, as if you were wearing invisible headphones. You get a stereo and 3D sound experience without the need to use any devices, headphones or cables.
For the people beside you, the experience is also magical, as they only hear a whisper – the company claims that the audio is reduced by 90% (20 dB) as soon as you move 1 meter away. You can even continue talking to the people around you without feeling isolated by annoying headphones.
And what happens if you move your head? A facial recognition system makes the N1 follow the movement of your ears to ensure the sound gets to the right place.
As if all that wasn’t enough, the N1 also integrates Alexa and, when looking at it, it recognizes your face and interacts with you.
Theory is one thing and how it works in reality is quite another. If the N1 really is able to do what it promises, it could be a good alternative to using headphones at the office or even at home, as many of us spend long periods in video conferencing.
At the moment, the price of the N1 has not been revealed, but it should go on sale in the middle of this year.
