The technology for implanting microchips under the skin is constantly evolving and these days they can make life easier for all of us.
Now, a Swedish startup has developed a microchip that contains the Covid-19 vaccination passport and has even placed it under the skin of some users.
The microchip contains the Covid-19 vaccination passport and can be read with NFC technology
It’s called Epicenter and it’s a Swedish startup that until now was unknown in most of the world. But your latest innovation can give you great visibility globally.
The company has developed a microchip that can be implanted in the skin of a user and that contains all the information present in the Covid-19 vaccination passport. The information contained therein is read using NFC technology, similar to what happens with current vaccination certificates.
The microchip can be removed at any time in a process that does not affect the health of the user.
The microchip is the size of a grain of rice and can be implanted in two different places: either on the person’s arm or between the index finger and the thumb. The company also guarantees that, if necessary, it can withdraw the microship at any time, using a process that is not harmful to human health.
Epicenter is also confident that microshipping can become common, among other things because it allows the storage of various types of information, be it health or even functioning as a bank card.
But for now, the microchip is not for sale. The Swedish company only implemented a few units in order to show the full potential of this innovation.

And to show how simple the whole process is, the company shared a video on YouTube showing Epicenter’s director of distribution, Hannes Sjoblad, accessing the microchip with his smartphone.
Previously, the startup Epicenter had already used its microchip implanted in several employees for tasks as simple as opening doors and working with printers. But it seems that now he has made some changes and has made it a perfect solution to have a vaccination certificate always “at hand”.
