OnePlus has been known, since its inception, for betting on global markets instead of prioritizing the market of the country of origin (China). But as has been written for the past few months, that is about to change.
OnePlus 10 Pro to launch on January 4
In recent days there have been indications that the OnePlus 10 Pro would be introduced during the month of January. Now, an official publication of OnePlus itself on the Weibo social network foresees the official launch for January 4.
Smartphone pre-orders start in China on January 4 and registration is now open and free. By registering, buyers can also receive a 1,000 yuan (€ 139) voucher.
Previous rumors pointed to the smartphone being unveiled on January 5. Now that the official date has been confirmed, the predictions will only have been wrong for one day.
An important detail is that, in recent years, OnePlus has launched the base version together with the Pro variant. But in this event there is no indication that this can happen.
Pete Lau, CEO of OnePlus, has previously revealed that the smartphone will have an LTPO 2.0 panel. Which means that we can expect better autonomy and overall quality in the interaction with the panel.
The supposed design of the OnePlus 10 Pro has been online for several weeks. The revealed image only confirms the existence of a black version, not the design we saw in the renderings shared by Steve Hemmerstoffer.
There are no details yet on the global launch date.
