We need to go back about a year to the launch of the Redmi Watch, the first cheap smartwatch from the Xiaomi sub-brand. With some technical differences, this would come to be called My Watch Lite globally.
Redmi Watch 2 presented on October 28
Now it is confirmed that this product will have a successor in the coming days. It was confirmed this Wednesday morning that Redmi Watch 2 will be released on October 28.
This will be the event where the Xiaomi sub-brand will present the new Redmi Note 11 smartphones. But apparently there will also be space for us to get to know its new wearable.
In the first image released by the brand, the product design seems to stay true to the first generation. In other words, we will have a square screen and a button on the right edge to aid navigation.
In addition to the name and design, Redmi does not reveal details about this product in the post made on the Weibo social network. It only mentions that there will be a great emphasis on screen enhancement and also when it comes to sports.
As this presentation gets closer, we will definitely learn more about Redmi Watch 2 and its possible features. Following in the tracks of the previous generation, it will hit global markets in the future for around € 50.
A nice addition to this product would be the introduction of an AMOLED panel, implausible in its price range. We’d also like to see you wearing “universal” bracelets, which would certainly expand your customization potential.
