Apple could soon launch a new iMac model. This would be 27 inches and would have a mini-Led screen. It would have a refresh rate of 120 Hz and could obviously adopt the new M1 Pro or Max processor from the Cupertino company.
In April 2021, Apple launches its new generation iMacs. These include the new M1 processor designed by the Cupertino company, but also a brand new design. Still, they’re only adopting the 24-inch size, and fans of the bigger screen have to chomp on their brakes before a new ad. She could arrive very soon.
Analyst Ross Young dares to give some predictions for the future of iMacs. For him, the next model should be announced in the first quarter of the year 2022. It would have a 27-inch slab.
A 27-inch iMac with a 120 Hz screen
Young goes further by specifying that its screen would be a mini-Led and that it would benefit from the name XDR Display, as is the case for the iPad Pro and the MacBook Pro presented at the beginning of the week. Thus, the user would have a panel pleasing to the eye, but also endowed with a very high luminosity. More so, this iMac would have a dynamic refresh rate from 24 Hz to 120 Hz, again to bring more comfort to the user.

Ross Young says no more. However, it is easy to guess that if there is a new iMac, it should logically embed an M1 processor, either the M1 Pro or the M1 Max, both announced during the October 18 keynote. We can also imagine that this iMac would benefit from the new design introduced at the beginning of the year, with – hopefully – color.
Anyway, we should not see any more new Apple products before the end of the year, the Cupertino brand having already made its two traditional back-to-school keynotes. The latest, which took place last Monday, allowed us to discover the AirPods 3, but also the new 14 and 16-inch MacBook Pro, equipped with an XDR Display screen mentioned above. There was no iMac announcement during this presentation.
OK, tweeted too early. The 27 “MiniLED screen is going in an iMac in Q1’22, not an external monitor. May see a monitor later. Still 24Hz – 120Hz variable refresh… Sorry for the confusion!
