Riyadh: 80 more factories opened in Saudi Arabia in the month of February.
According to Arab News, about 80 new factories in Saudi Arabia, based on an investment of 4.3 billion riyals, started manufacturing various products in the month of February.
According to the Saudi Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, 164 factories started working in January.
In February, there were 30 factories in the non-metallic minerals industry, 12 in the food business, 8 in the structured minerals sector, 5 in the rubber and plastics trade and 4 in the production of chemicals.
In the month of February, 85 industrial licenses have been issued by the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, among which small businesses were at the forefront.
Licenses were given to 37 factories in Riyadh region, 21 factories in Eastern region, 8 factories in Makkah, 5 factories in Madinah Munawara and Al Qasim, 4 factories in Asir and 3 factories in Al Jouf region.
According to the Deputy Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Osama Bin Abdulaziz Al Zaml, the number of factories in the Kingdom has increased by 50 percent under the Saudi Vision 2030.
