6 children died after drowning in the pit

Six children drowned in a pit filled with rainwater in India.

Indian media Reports According to the police, the dead children are aged between 8 and 13 years and have been identified as Piyush, Varun, Rahul, Ajit, Deva and Dargesh.

The tragic incident took place between three and four in the afternoon when the children were bathing in a pit filled with rainwater.

Fire Department and Disaster Response Force personnel recovered the bodies after a three-hour operation.

According to the report, the children were bathing in the pit when they suddenly drowned. The police recovered the children’s clothes and slippers from the crime scene.

Deputy Commissioner Nishant Yadav said that as soon as the children were informed about the drowning, the rescue agencies reached the spot and the operation was started.

He said that the water was pumped out during the rescue operation. According to the police, the bodies of the children have been shifted to the hospital for post-mortem.
