A 59-year-old man died from injuries sustained after being run over by an ambulance on Avenida 65 de Infantería in Mayagüez, a municipality in western Puerto Rico, the local Police reported this Thursday.
According to the authorities, David Olivencia Ramírez was walking at 9:58 p.m. local time on Wednesday (01:58 GMT this Thursday) in front of the Sábalo Gardens public residence (popular neighborhood), when he was hit by an ambulance belonging to the company Western Health & Carewhich was driven by Jomar Suárez González.
The pedestrian He was treated at the scene by the same paramedics. that he was run over and then transported to the Hospital Centro Médico de Mayagüez, where he died while receiving medical assistance.
