35 people, including 23 children, were killed in a shooting at a day care center in Thailand

A former police officer shot and killed 35 people in Thailand.

According to foreign news agencies, former police officer Pania Khabarab attacked a child care center in Nong Bua Lam Phu province. He had a short gun, a pistol and a knife.

The attacker killed 35 people, including 23 children, in the attack on the child care center. 12 people were also injured in this incident.

According to the police, the attacker then went to his house and shot dead his wife and child and committed suicide.

The province’s police colonel Jakakapat said the former police lieutenant colonel was dismissed last year for drug abuse.

Thai Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha has ordered the police chief to immediately investigate the incident.

The incident is being described as the worst example of mass killing in Thailand’s history.
