2GAME Esports, a name you might know from various corners of the gaming universe, has once again made a big announcement. This Wednesday afternoon, the team officially said goodbye to the competitive Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) scene. They had just returned to the game this year, but it seems their stay was short-lived.
This isn’t their first time stepping away from CS2. Their first attempt at the game began in February 2024. That run lasted only four months. Then, they decided to jump back in this year, also starting in February. This second effort proved a bit longer, stretching out for eight months before this week’s exit.
Despite their brief stints, the team certainly made some noise in 2025. They snagged two big wins: the ESEA OPEN SEASON 53 title and the CCT SEASON 3 – #1 championship. They also fought their way to a second-place finish in the ESL CHALLENGER LEAGUE #50. That’s a strong showing for any team. Now, most of the players are free agents, looking for their next move. Bruno “xureba” Sigwalt is an exception; he was on loan from Team Solid, according to Liquipedia.
Here’s a look at the roster that played for 2GAME:
- Wesley “hardzao” Lopes
- Vinícios “PKL” Coelho
- Lucas “lukiz” Rodrigues
- Patrick “detr0ittj” Carvalho
- João “turner” Tournier – coach
The team shared their departure on social media:
